“We have charted a new route via herbal medications to heighten up an individual ability to destroy HIV” Initially, the patient is given tonics and rejuvenators (Rasayanas) to boost immunity levels, to invigorate the system and to galvanize appetite. Secondly, the blood is purified with appropriate herbal medications. These medications are helpful in dispelling toxins from the liver. A strengthening diet along with medicated ghee preparations and soups is recommended. Where as spicy, oily and acidic foods are to be avoided. A little alcohol is recommended as Anupama (carrier) to aid the digestion, and also to remove blockages in the flow of Rasadi dhatus, i.e. Srothorodha. Various immunomodulator therapeutics and antiviral herbal combinations are used for treatment. Several studies have shown that certain herbal-mineral compounds prepared as per the formulae prescribed by sages like Agasthya, Charaka, Sarangadhara, and others for the treatment of Kshaya (Decrease or depletion of body tissues) have brought remarkable results in improving the condition of AIDS patients. Rasayana and Vajikaraeffects of these therapeutics are beneficial for the patients. We use other useful drugs in our medication like – Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) , Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), Kalmegh (Andrographis paniculata) etc. Each ingredient is included after Research and Development(R&D) which helps to reduce the side effects caused by anti-retroviral therapeutics.”
“The patient should be given such diet which is fortified with nutrients. He should be uplifted to do effortless exercises which do not strain his fragile health. He should be kept engaged in fruitful activities which strengthen the good tendencies inherent in him.Patient is advised to do regular exercise. If the patient is incapable of exercising or running due to weakness, then steaming (swedanam) is also recommended.”
TRIPLE MODE OF ACTION OF OUR THERAPIES:
Our combination of therapies contains various active herbal ingredients which have the following effects on the body:
Immunomodulator effect: Immunomodulators modifies the immune response or the functioning of the immune system (as by the stimulation of antibody formation or the enhancement of white blood cell activity) which decreases the inflammatory response and creates such an environment which results in decreased activity of virus .
Habitat destruction drugs: These therapeutics make the conditions of the body not suitable for the division and survival of the virus so that any virus remaining is not able to survive in the body and remain in a suppressed state.
“Our Ayurvedic supplements for HIV treatment are proven to be innocuous and by using them there can only be progression not retrogression”
HIV is a virus that gradually attacks the immune system, which is our body’s natural defence against pathogenic microorganisms. If a person is infected with HIV, he will find it harder to fight off infections. The virus destroys a type of WBCs called a T-helper cell or CD4 cells and replicates itself inside them. HIV has proven troublesome in inducing an antibody response, making it very hard to develop a vaccine. Even in case, if the vaccine is administered, as soon as HIV antibodies are produced, the virus changes rapidly to counteract them. According to Ayurveda, the AIDS disease may be correlated with “Kshaya’ or “Ojakshaya’ meaning loss of energy. The disease is caused by the dominant Kapha dosha along with the other doshas which tend to block the path for the flow of rasadi dhatus in their respective locations ,cause deterioration of saptha dhatu Rasa(plasma), Rakta (blood cells), Mansa ( muscular tissue), Meda (adipose tissue), Asthi (bony tissue), Majja (bone marrow) and the Shukra (reproductive tissue), thus resulting into the disease. Currently, there is no vaccine for HIV/AIDS but Ayurvedic treatments have evolved which are much more efficacious. Various immunomodulator therapeutics and antiviral herbal combinations are used for the treatment. These improve the quality of life of the patient, extends life expectancy and reduces the risk of transmission of virus.
